Tesco has this week launched a range of Italian foods, the latest in the UK retailer’s “venture brands”.
The Parioli range, which went into stores on Monday (4 May) is Tesco’s fourth venture brand, which does not have any reference to the retailer on its packaging.
The launch follows the introduction of Chokablok ice cream and the Lathams and Nutricat premium pet food ranges.
A spokesperson for Tesco said the Chokablok range has been doing “amazingly well” since the launch.
The retailer, meanwhile, has also launched a ready-meal range called Flash in the Pan. The range comes in five varieties and features freshly prepared ingredients which are pan fried then combined with a dressing.
The range includes king prawn curry with coriander rice, gnocchi dressed with a basil infused oil and sun dried tomatoes, potato hash with pulled beef, feta and spinach, Moroccan spiced chicken cous cous, chicken and king prawn chilli noodles and pulled ham hock with crushed potato and cheese sauce.
