UK crisp manufacturer Tyrrells has today (5 December) confirmed that it will start selling products in China in the New Year.
A spokesperson for the company said Tyrrells will be launching its full range of potato and vegetable crisps in China in January. The first consignment of sharing 150g packs and 40g products will be dispatched this week.
However, the spokesperson could not disclose the name of the distributor in China. The deal was signed a couple of weeks ago, he added.
The products will be available in high-end convenience stores and supermarkets in Shanghai and Beijing.
In June, Tyrrells appointed Anne-Laure Follie in the new role of international marketing manager. The move was part of plans to drive further growth overseas, the company said at the time of the announcement.
