Anglo-Dutch consumer products giant Unilever has said it is to sell its Van den Bergh Oils business in the UK to Pura Foods, a subsidiary of ADM International.

Purfleet-based Van den Bergh Oils, which employs 140 people, has third party sales totalling £40m (US$64.8m), Unilever said in a statement.

Unilever said the sale is part of its Path to Growth strategy, which focuses on the company’s leading brands.
