United Biscuits has launched a range of snack bars in the UK, using the company’s McVitie’s Digestive and Hobnobs brands.

The UK-based snacks giant has introduced McVitie’s Medley, a line of “on-the-go biscuit and cereal bars” that combine Hobnobs and Digestives biscuits with cereals and other ingredients, such as raisins, nuts and milk chocolate.

The three Medley variants will be available in multipacks of six bars priced at GBP1.69 (US$2.54) each.

“The Tasty and Treat bar market is enjoying massive growth and the launch will help to grow this market even further,” said Sarah Heynen, marketing director for the company’s sweet biscuits division.

United Biscuits said the market was worth GBP135m and was growing at 33% year-on-year.
