Weetabix has entered into employee talks over the potential transfer of contracts after the decision was taken to outsource specialist cleaning activities at two sites.
A spokesperson for the UK company said the group plans to appoint an “external specialist cleaning company” this autumn following a tender process. “Employees affected by this change will transfer to the new supplier,” the spokesperson added.
“Weetabix has a strong working relationship with all of its trade unions and our colleagues at our Burton Latimer and Corby sites, and we are currently consulting with employees affected by this.”
