UK upscale restaurant chain Groupe Chez Gérard has welcomed the return of co-founder Neville Abraham to the role of CEO after the resignation of David Williams as director and CEO.

Abraham has been executive chairman and then non-executive chairman since the appointment of Williams in August 1999. He said that his reinstatement made sense because of the depth of his knowledge about the company.

Williams, whose departure is said to be amicable, will leave at the end of this month.
