Convenience chain 7-Eleven has continued its US growth drive, this time expanding its presence in the Las Vegas area with the addition of 160 stores in Clark County.
The company said that it expects to expand in the Clark County area over the next several years.
7-Eleven has targeted new store openings and store relocations as it looks to capitalise on high-traffic areas.
The company indicated that it would also consider acquisitions and franchise conversions to boost its store count.
The company secured the stores through its partnership with NAI Corporate Real Estate Services, which engaged Jeff Mitchell of Virtus Commercial, an affiliate of Mountain West Retail, as the representative for 7-Eleven.
“7-Eleven is in a unique position among retailers in the current market conditions because they are actively expanding,” Mitchell said.

By GlobalData“The 7-Eleven growth strategy is exceptional because it’s adaptable. The company can pursue opportunities in a variety of formats – pad sites, shopping centre end caps, urban walk-ups, and non-traditional sites such as casinos, sports venues and airports. Bottom line is that if there is an opportunity, 7-Eleven will look at it; if it is a great opportunity, 7-Eleven opens a store.”
NAI CRES also is providing real estate services for 7-Eleven in Salt Lake City, and Calgary in Canada, the retailer revealed.
