Following the retirement from 7-Eleven of Gary Rose, executive vice president and chief operating officer, and David Podeschi, senior vice president of merchandising, president and CEO Joe DePinto has announced some new arrivals to his leadership team.

Masaaki Askura has been named Rose’s successor, assuming the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Other new appointments include Brian Smith Jr as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, Paul Rostron as executive vice president and chief people officer and Keith Morrow as senior vice president and chief information officer. Stanley Reynolds will continue in his recently announced role as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

“We are fortunate to have a world class team ready to strengthen 7- Eleven’s position in the convenience store industry,” said DePinto. “This team of leaders is fully aligned with our strategy, customer focused and committed to upholding the standards of business excellence established by Gary Rose and David Podeschi over three decades. We’re grateful for their tremendous contributions and wish them all the best.”
