Amish Naturals has bought Californian artisan pasta maker Prima Pasta for an undisclosed sum.

Prima Pasta, based in Los Angeles, sells a range of pasta products in US retailers ranging from Ralph’s to Whole Foods Market.

“The acquisition is a synergistic fit for Amish Naturals. Prima Pasta has built tremendous momentum in the retail channels and we look forward to capitalising on that as we move forward,” said David Skinner, Sr., president and CEO of Amish Naturals.

Prima Pasta’s Allam Karkafi said the company was “pleased” to be a part of Amish. “Prima Pasta was born out of love and passion, and Amish Naturals’ executives seem to have a similar drive and commitment,” Karkafi said.
