US-based food ingredients group Sensient Technologies Corp. has opened a new “colour and flavour complex” in Brazil.
The facility, which includes a production plant and R&D laboratories, is located in the city of Jundiaí in Sao Paulo state in eastern Brazil.
Sensient said the new plant would give it local production to serve food and drink customers and improve lead times.
“This new facility will enhance Sensient’s ability to participate in the expected growth of the Brazilian market,” chairman, president and CEO Kenneth Manning said yesterday (24 January). “Sensient entered the Brazilian market in 2003 in Sao Paulo. This additional investment further supports our confidence in Brazil’s prospects and the potential of the South American market.”
