ConAgra Foods has announced that John Gehring, senior VP and controller, will serve as chief financial officer replacing Frank Sklarsky, who has become CFO of Kodak. Gehring will remain in the position while the company seeks a long-term replacement.

“I’d like to thank Frank for all that he’s done for ConAgra Foods,” said CEO Gary Rodkin. “We wish him all the best at Kodak. While Frank was here, we were able to develop significant bench strength on our finance team, which will ensure a smooth leadership transition. I also want to express my appreciation to John for taking on this temporary role until we find our new CFO.”

Gehring’s interim position is effective from 7 October and will remain in the role until a replacement is appointed. He joined the company in 2002 as VP of internal audit, becoming senior VP in 2003. In 2004 he was appointed to his current role.
