CoolBrands International has launched Yoplait Frozen Yogurt & Cereal Bars, which, it claims, are the first ever ready-to-eat frozen yogurt bars that combine frozen yogurt with fortified cereal to be available on the market.
Yoplait Frozen Yogurt & Cereal Bars provide up to 15 vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins A, C, D, B6 and B12, and thiamin, niacin, zinc, and iron, CoolBrands says. In addition, the bars contain as much calcium as an 8oz glass of milk, while two of the flavours are low-fat.
“With Yoplait Frozen Yogurt & Cereal Bars, we’ve taken frozen novelties beyond ‘better for you’ and moved it into the realm of nutritious frozen snacks,” said CoolBrands International vice president of marketing, Matt Smith. “These wholesome treats can be consumed anytime of day, as a tasty snack, quick breakfast or as dessert at the end of the day.”
The Yoplait Frozen Yogurt & Cereal Bars and wafer sandwiches will be available in supermarkets from early-April. The full line-up comprises Strawberry Lowfat Yogurt with Fortified Cereal (bar); Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt & Wildberry Sorbet with Fortified Cereal (bar); and Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt with Raspberry Sorbet & Fortified Cereal wafers (sandwich). They are available in 4-pack boxes.
