Food Lion, the US retailer, has remodelled 31 stores in South Carolina as part of its “take a fresh look” renewal programme.
The remodelled stores sport a “fresh new look”, expanded offering and “ renewed focus on service”, director of operations Bobby Tatum said.
“We wanted to enhance our customers’ shopping experience through a more inviting interior design and have expanded our fresh departments, including produce, meats and deli/bakery, as well as our organic selection,” he revealed.
The remodelling work is designed to give stores more space to provide a greater selection of products, including more natural and organic foods and expanded beer and wine offerings, the company said.
Food Lion is a US subsidiary of Belgium-based retail giant Delhaize.
