Food Lion, the US subsidiary of Belgian Delhaize group, has opened one new outlet in South Carolina this week, and will soon begin work on three other new outlets in the state.

Construction work will begin in the next few weeks on new Food Lion stores in Anderson, Union and Woodruff, the company announced, while the retailer has just opened its third Bloom outlet in Greer.
Food Lion said the three retail developments will each include a 35,000 square foot Food Lion store and eight other retail units, covering approximately 8,400 square feet.
