Tesco‘s US division Fresh & Easy has announced plans to open its first stores in northern California from the beginning of March.

The retailer said that the ten outlets will create more than 275 jobs.

“Opening our first northern California stores is another big step in our expansion plans, and we look forward to bringing fresh, wholesome food at affordable prices to these neighbourhoods,” said Fresh & Easy CEO Tim Mason.

The grocery operator also announced plans to open two stores in San Francisco early this year.
