The Kraft board has nominated Mark D. Ketchum for election as a director at the Annual Meeting of Stockholders, scheduled for 24 April.
Ketchum is president and CEO of Newell Rubbermaid, a global marketer of consumer and commercial products with annual sales of US$6bn.
Previously, Ketchum spent 33 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held various operational roles before transferring to brand and general management.
“Mark Ketchum is a highly talented executive with an uncommon blend of experience in manufacturing, logistics, marketing and brand building,” said Kraft chairman Louis C. Camilleri. “His success in leading global, consumer-oriented businesses will be of tremendous value to Kraft, and we look forward to his contributions in the years ahead.”
