Cadbury, Kraft Foods’ confectionery arm, has added to its Trident gum portfolio in the US.

The company today (8 December) launched Trident Vitality, a range of three gums that it said had been developed to meet demand for healthier products.

“Based on research, we found that many consumers were looking for unique new flavours that fit with their wellness lifestyle,” said Trident brand manager Kelly Bivens. “We always try to respond to consumers needs, and so far the response has been terrific. Vitality has tested as one of our best-tasting gums to date, and we are very excited to bring it to our consumers nationwide.”

The three flavours of Trident Vitality gums – dubbed Vigorate, Rejuve and Awaken – will go on sale next month at US$1.29 for a single pack and $2.89 for a three-pack.

The Vigorate gum contains a “burst” of citrus and strawberry with vitamin C. Rejuve gum includes mint and white tea, while Awaken is made of peppermint and ginseng.
