North Carolina-based Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has announced today that it has given development rights for Indonesia to PT Premier Doughnut Indonesia.
The agreement calls for the development of approximately 20 locations over the next five years, with the first location scheduled to open by September 2006.
“We are pleased to be announcing Krispy Kreme’s expansion into another international market,” said Daryl Brewster, president and CEO of Krispy Kreme. “We look forward to continued international development as we move forward with the company’s restructuring.”
Krispy Kreme currently operates 300 stores in the US, Australia, Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
It has also recently issued development rights in the Philippines, Japan and Hong Kong.
