The highly acquisitive Mizkan Americas has purchased Imperial Brands’ speciality and gourmet division for an undisclosed sum.
The deal builds on Mizkan’s plans for global expansion in its retail branded, food ingredients and food service businesses, the condiment maker said.
This is Mizlan’s third recent purchase in the liquid condiments category. The group previously acquired the Holland House brand from Mott’s LLP and Creole Fermentation.
“The acquisition of the specialty division of Imperial Brands further enhances the leadership position that Mizkan Americas currently enjoys as the preeminent marketer of liquid condiments in North America,” said Craig Smith, president of Mizkan Americas.
The Imperial Brands division markets a full line of cooking wines, vinegars, wine reductions and other products for the food processing and foodservice industries.
