TNT Crust, the US supplier of pizza crusts and flatbreads, has snapped up a production facility to support the company’s expansion “across all product lines”.
The company, acquired by an affiliate of private-equity firm Peak Rock Capital from Tyson Foods in 2018, produces partially-baked and self-rising pizza crusts for frozen pizza manufacturers and foodservice customers. It also offers dough products and flatbreads.
TNT Crust said the factory, located in St. Charles in Missouri, would be operational by the second half of 2020. The manufacturer has a plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where it said it “expects to continue to expand”.
Scott McNair, the former Tyson and Schwan’s executive who became TNT Crust’s chief executive in the autumn of 2018, described the move as “a transformative milestone” for the company.
He added: “We are very excited to have the opportunity to meaningfully grow with our valued customers and continue to support their commercial success for years to come. The new facility will be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and exemplifies TNT’s commitment to enhancing our production capabilities and leading the industry in quality, service, and innovation.”
