Sanderson, which yesterday (30 March) also announced a share offering to pay for the expansion, said the Goldsboro and the expanded Kinston sites would boost its processing capacity by 30%.

“In today’s market environment, we believe we have a significant opportunity to leverage our efficient operations with the additional capacity of 1.25m birds per week and take advantage of new markets,” said chairman and CEO Joe Sanderson, Jr.
