The French Meadow Bakery will relabel 5,000 cases of bread that had been seized by federal authorities, who claim that the bread was mislabelled as ‘wheat free’ and ‘wheat alternative’.

Once the 25,000 to 30,000 frozen loaves have been relabelled and inspected, they can be shipped to consumers, reports in the Associated Press note.

The company will also pay all costs associated with the FDA’s review.

The bread products in question contain the grains spelt or Kamut. The FDA said that these grains are types of wheat and, if consumed, could endanger the health of people with wheat allergies.
