The board of soy-based products specialist Tofutti Brands has elected Joseph Fischer and Neal Axelrod as independent directors.

The appointments took effect from 6 August, and Tofutti said the two directors have been elected to serve until the company’s next AGM.
Axelrod, a certified public accountant in New Jersey, will also serve on the company’s Audit Committee. Fischer has served previously as a director of the company.
