Chicago-based seafood and specialty foods group Vita Food Products has announced that it has notified the Chicago Stock Exchange of its intention to withdraw its common stock from the exchange.

The company, which produces primarily kosher food products, said it would continue to be listed on the American Stock Exchange.

Vita’s seafood division produces herring and retail packaged salmon markets, while its specialty foods operation markets products such as cream cheese, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce and horseradish.
