“Wellness” foods, “superfoods” and dark chocolate are reshaping the US palate, according to a research report by Packaged Facts, and San Francisco’s Center for Culinary Development (CCD).
The report said that individual wellness foods and ingredients have been greeted with wide consumer acceptance both in the top chain retailers, and in restaurant menus.
Amongst the wellness category are those foods containing Omega-3 fatty acids, high-fiber inulin and nut oils.
