Dutch retailer Ahold is reported to have appointed a restructuring expert and a lawyer to take up key positions at its US Foodservice unit.


Garry Brown, a consultant who specialises in restructuring troubled businesses, has been appointed as head of procurement, reported the Financial Times. Attorney Robert Aiken has been given an important marketing role.


According to the newspaper report, the two men are likely to fill positions vacated by Tim Lee and Mark Kaiser, who were dismissed from their roles as executives in charge of purchasing and marketing following a financial scandal at the company.
