Coca-Cola is expected to hire Steven Heyer, a high-profile executive from AOL Time Warner Inc’s Turner Broadcasting System to run one of its four business units.

The report in today’s online version of the Wall Street suggests Heyer will head the newly created new-business-ventures division. He is expected to oversee Coke’s efforts to develop snacks, juices, coffees and teas through separate joint ventures with Procter & Gamble and Nestlé.

Heyer was due to depart from his tenure as Turner president and chief operating officer on Tuesday. Coke has so far declined to comment on the report.
