Irvine, California-based ConAgra Grocery Products is voluntarily recalling about 36,000 cases of Healthy Choice Old Fashioned Chicken Noodle Soup because it may have been mislabeled.
The soups labeled Old Fashioned Chicken Noodle Soup may instead be Turkey with White & Wild Rice Soup, which contains a small amount of whey, a known allergen.
Consumers who have a severe sensitivity to whey could run the risk of experiencing an allergic reaction if they consume this product. However, the product is completely safe for those who do not have a sensitivity to whey.
The soups were distributed nationwide and internationally through retail stores.
The product affected is the 15-ounce size of Healthy Choice Old Fashioned Chicken Noodle Soup with the code 15EN (followed by a number from 1 through 8) and P91 on the second line.
