Joe Cornely has been named director of corporate communications for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). In this newly created position, he will coordinate the organization’s delivery of information to Farm Bureau members and the public. Among his duties will be editorial responsibilities for OFBF’s official publication, Buckeye Farm News. He will continue to oversee OFBF’s work with members of the media.

Cornely has served as director of media relations for Farm Bureau since 1998. Prior to joining Farm Bureau he was Farm Director for WRFD Radio and before that held a similar position with WLW Radio. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Speech & Communications Education.

According to Kurt Ely, vice president of information for OFBF, “It’s important that Farm Bureau connect with our members and the general public. To do that we need to expand and enhance our communications efforts. Joe has a great deal of experience in designing and delivering the kinds of programs that we think will be of high value to our members.”
