Global Foods Online, a Los Angeles-based online marketplace for the trade of specialty food, beverage and confectionery products, has set up sales forces in 60 countries.


The company said it is initially focusing on imports into the US, but according to a web-based news service for the direct marketing industry, www.dmnews.com, sales teams are being created right around the world. They are expected to go operational this summer. The sales teams will work to line up manufacturers to place their products in Global Foods’ catalogue and on its Web site, claimed the website. The catalogues are expected to mail quarterly.
