The company has notified all of its applicable foodservice distributors and supermarket deli customers of the recall and has requested that if any of the identified products remain in their possession, they be secured and returned to Jennie-O. Consumers who believe they may have these products in their possession should contact the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

“Because food safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority at Jennie-O, we are taking these precautionary steps in conjunction with the USDA,” said Julie Craven, spokesperson for Jennie-O. “We strictly abide by the food safety guidelines put in place by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the USDA to make sure our products are safe. We are working closely with the USDA to identify the source of the contamination and to resolve this matter quickly.”
