A new home page for the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods (NACMCF) has been set up on the Food Safety and Inspection Service web site.
The web site instructs on the available methods for assessing microbiological hazards in foods as well as providing information on the development of microbiologic criteria, and the evaluation of epidemiological and risk assessment data.

The role of the NACMCF is to provide scientific advice and recommendations to the US secretaries of Agriculture and Health and Human Services with regard to public health issues as they are affected by the food supply of the country.
