Nash Finch Company (Nasdaq: NAFC), a Minneapolis-based food retailer and distributor, announced today that Robert W. Toomey, 50, has been promoted to the position of corporate vice president, distribution and logistics, effective immediately. He reports to Jerry Nelson, executive vice president and president of food distribution.

Toomey joined Nash Finch in February 1999 as vice president, distribution and logistics for the company’s Midwest region. Prior to joining NFC, Toomey held senior management positions with Victory Markets, Inc., the A&P Tea Company and Grand Union.
