US dried pasta maker New World Pasta has announced that its lenders have once again extended the deadline for the company to provide its updated earnings reports.

New World Pasta now has until 30 June to file its annual report for the year to 31 December 2002 and the reports for the quarters to 29 March and 28 September.

The company, which makes the Ronzoni, San Giorgio and Creamette branded pastas, is attempting to correct internal problems that led to two years of financial statements being either late or unreliable, reported AP Online.

New World Pasta is reviewing its financial statements for accuracy and had previously been given an extension from February to the end of May.
