USA: NPC International, Inc. announces April comparable store sales

NPC International, Inc. (Nasdaq:NPCI):

• April Comparable Store Sales +6.7%:
  
• Dine-in restaurants: +7.2%
  
• Delivery: +4.9%
  
• Re-imaged restaurants accounted for +2.8% comparable store sales growth

NPC International, Inc. (Nasdaq:NPCI), Friday (11 May) reported comparable store sales growth of 6.7% for the five weeks ended May 1, 2001.

Sixty restaurants re-imaged in the last 18 months accounted for 2.8% comparable store sales growth during the period. The favorable impact of this program is primarily reflected in the Company’s dine-in restaurants, which recorded April comparable store sales growth of 7.2%. The Company’s delivery units recorded comparable store sales growth of 4.9%.

NPC International, Inc. is the world’s largest Pizza Hut franchisee and currently operates 834 Pizza Hut restaurants and delivery kitchens in 27 states.
