The company said the new capacity is aimed at meeting growing European demand for its sweetened dried cranberries and flavoured fruit pieces. As the Middleboro plant gets fully operational, Ocean Spray has already announced plans to double the new plant’s production capacity in the next year.
Ocean Spray’s sweetened dried cranberries and flavoured fruit pieces are used in a variety of bakery, confectionery, snack and cereal applications.
