OpenTable.com today announced availability of the first real-time online restaurant reservations in Houston.
The company offers diners free online restaurant reservations that are confirmed instantly at www.opentable.com. Houston’s Riviera Grill restaurant is currently accepting online reservations, and in the coming weeks top Houston restaurants such as Tony’s, Anthony’s, both La Strada locations and Rainbow Lodge, Tasca, and World Beat Grill will join the hundreds of restaurants around the country accepting real-time Internet reservations through OpenTable.com.
OpenTable.com’s breakthrough service enables diners to search for table availability 24 hours a day by cuisine type, neighborhood or price range, get instant confirmation, relay special instructions to the restaurant, invite guests, and view maps online. The service is free to diners.
At the restaurant, both phone and Internet reservations are booked directly into OpenTable.com’s proprietary electronic reservation book (ERB). The ERB is connected to the Internet, enabling restaurants and consumers to transact and communicate via the OpenTable.com website.
