Penwest’s PROSOLV® technology is to be used in a new line of herbal supplement formulations to be codeveloped by the company in cooperation with Finzelberg, a member of the Martin Bauer Group.

The new range will sold to nutritional companies under the RediRun DC brand name. PROSOLV® solves the problem that many nutritional actives absorb moisture, flow poorly and are not compactable. Its application is intended to reduce the need for additional excipients and manufacturing processes, ultimately lowering the cost of producing the tablets.
The Martin Bauer Group has already collaborated with Penwest to formulate Ginseng and St. John’s Wort products. Further collaboration projects are in the pipeline.
