US poultry processor Perdue Farms has announced that Julie DeYoung has joined the company as vice president of corporate communications.
DeYoung will oversee Perdue’s communications and public affairs department.
“She [DeYoung] will be responsible for media and community relations, internal and external communications, corporate contributions, and will be the primary spokesperson for the corporation,” said chairman Jim Perdue.
“Additionally, she will provide strategic analysis to the executive management team on a wide range of communications issues to support the business goals of the company and its subsidiaries,” he added.
DeYoung was most recently senior director of corporate communications and public affairs at ConAgra Foods’ headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
