US chewing gum manufacturer Wrigley Jr has said it is to stop making its Surpass Antacid chewing gum due to poor sales.

Wrigley, which introduced the product two years ago, said production would stop from 28 March.

The company said that costs related to discontinuing the product would not be material to its financial results, and all business activities related to the product’s discontinuation are expected to be completed by the end of May, reported Reuters.
