Whitby Seafoods produces frozen seafood products coated in batter or breadcrumbs, including scampi.

The group had not returned a request for comment at the time of writing.

In November, Whitby Seafoods revealed it was considering changes to its manufacturing network that could lead to the closure of one of its four plants and two other facilities combined into one.
