Canada-based Commercial Bakeries has continued its acquisition spree with the purchase of US cracker maker Partners.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Partners manufactures “premium” and better-for-you crackers, as well as other baked goods.
It makes private-label products, provides contract-manufacturing services and supplies industrial customers in North America.
Established in 1992 by Marian Harris, Partners is managed by her daughter, president Cara Figgins, and her son, vice president of operations Greg Maestretti.
Production is based out of a bakery in Des Moines in Washington state.
Figgins said: "This combination brings additional capabilities that we can now offer to our existing customer base, as well as a nationwide footprint."
Commercial Bakeries, headquartered in Toronto, is a producer of better-for-you and seasonal cookies on a private-label basis. It supplies retail grocery chains and brands in North America.
In a statement yesterday (20 October), Commercial Bakeries said: “This new partnership enables the combined business to offer an expanded capability set to its customers and advances the company's efforts to build a differentiated platform in the growing specialty, seasonal, and better-for-you cookie and cracker markets.”
The transaction is the third acquisition completed by Commercial Bakeries since private-investment firm Graham Partners took ownership of the business in 2023.
It follows Commercial Bakeries’ takeovers of US-based Imagine Baking in May 2024 and Canadian peer Hollandia Bakeries in April 2025.
