Formula Development
Siemens Opcenter Formulation offers the possibility to reuse approved ingredients and materials when designing a new formulation and to digitally simulate formula performance before real-life trials are launched.
The ability to re-calculate in real-time, after changes to materials and quantities, ensures high quality and saves time. When the formulation is finally validated it can be immediately converted to the specifications and a bill of materials.
Specification management
With Siemens Opcenter Specification packaging materials, raw materials and ingredients can be simulated and managed.
This multi-site and multi-language environment supplies operational systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and MES with data such as product characteristics, recipes, quality norms and methods, nutritional values and statements, production methods and the like.
It also takes account of all product specifications such as regulatory, legal, quality, suppliers, environmental, logistical, nutritional, bill of materials and process specifications.
The flexible and configurable search capabilities drive efficiency by drastically reducing the effort required to look up specification details.
Supplier collaboration is improved through a portal that allows you to work more closely with customers and assure in-time updates on product specifications.
Label creation is simplified through country-based rules for label declarations and it automatically calculates rules, nutriscore and allergens.
Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) Solutions
The centralized Siemens Opcenter Laboratory manages quality data and workflow in laboratories, optimizing data collection, reporting and analysis. It also supports development processes in R&D labs and routine tests in Quality Control labs in Pilot Production.
During formulisation and the release of batches in the food and beverage environment, LIMS solutions are critical. ATS has direct experience in implementing and optimising LIMS solutions factoring in not just the technology challenge but also managing the impact on people, processes and structures.
