Anton Paar Announces Free Beverage Analysis Workshop for Industry Professionals
Anton Paar Ltd is pleased to announce its upcoming Beverages Workshop, a free one-day event designed to provide beverage industry professionals with practical and theoretical insight into modern analytical techniques used to ensure product quality, consistency, and process control.
Taking place on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, at Anton Paar Ltd’s UK headquarters in Capability Green, Luton, the workshop will bring together professionals from across the soft drinks, brewing, wine, spirits, cider, and wider beverage sectors to explore the latest developments in beverage analysis and quality assurance.
As beverage manufacturers face increasing demands for product consistency, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance, reliable analytical testing methods have never been more important. This workshop has been developed to help attendees better understand the measurement technologies and best practices that support accurate, reliable decision-making throughout beverage production.
The programme is tailored for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage producers. Participants working within soft drinks, juices, and carbonated beverage production will gain insight into techniques including sugar and Brix determination, dissolved carbon dioxide measurement, and oxygen analysis. For breweries, distilleries, wineries, and cider producers, sessions will focus on alcohol determination, fermentation monitoring, density measurement, and dissolved gas analysis.
Throughout the day, Anton Paar application specialists will combine technical presentations with practical demonstrations using a range of beverage samples and analytical instrumentation, allowing attendees to see key measurement principles in action.
Key topics covered
- Understanding the key measuring techniques used across the beverage industry
- Comparing different methods for alcohol (%ABV) determination and selecting the most appropriate approach
- Density measurement for gravity determination, fermentation monitoring, and alcohol analysis
- The role of sound velocity measurement in fresh Brix determination and sugar inversion analysis
- Near-infrared (NIR) alcohol determination for direct %ABV measurement, including no- and low-alcohol products
- Combining analytical techniques such as polarimetry and refractometry for enhanced measurement capability
- Advantages of direct-from-package analysis compared with traditional methods
